On August 31, the absentee voting of a competition jury was finished. Based on an assessment of competitive creative works 69 participants were admitted to the audience’s voting.

At the second stage of the Contest, the participants represented creative works on one of four topics: “Year of Ecology in Russia”, “The Russian Language and Education in Russian”, “The preserving memories of the Great Patriotic War”, “Science and Innovations”.

Each media center created multimedia content, which combined text with photo and video materials. According to the results of absentee voting, the jury selected works, which are allowed to the audience’s voting.

90 Russian Universities take part in contest. They include national research institutes the universities of 5-100 project”as well as federal and universities. Geography of participants is very wide; the Contest involves regions from Kaliningrad to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

The contest consists of 2 stages. List of Universities which will participate in audience’s voting, was published on the contest’s official website: www.mediacentr.iast.pro.

The best media center competition among Russian universities started February 3, 2017. It was organized by International Association of Student Television and is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and INA “Russia today” as an information sponsors. Also, organizations of mass media and youth police became partners.

The goal of the contest is motivation universities to develop their own media centers and formation of common information space in educational institutions. Professionals in the field of media, education and youth policy will determine the best media center.
